This year marked the 240th Independence Day with a tradition of watching fireworks while on the water and a long four-day weekend to celebrate the holiday. While boaters were watching the sky and enjoying the July Fourth festivities, Sea Tow franchises across the nation were navigating the busy weekend.
Calls included requests for tows, jump-starts, fuel deliveries and ungroundings, so that boaters could get back to enjoying the holiday weekend on the water. Sea Tow Members saved over $422,000 in on-water assistance fees by being a Member!
“For the last four days, 24 hours a day, our captains around the country have responded to thousands of calls from individuals and families who needed assistance on the water,” said Captain Joseph Frohnhoefer III, Sea Tow’s chief executive officer. “Being there to help, knowing what to do, and in some cases bringing calm to the situation, is what our members rely on us for. I’m proud of the services that all of our franchises were able to provide to help boaters stay safe and get back to their Fourth of July plans.”
We spent our holiday weekend on the water, how about you?
